3. Psalm 91 (Night Protection Psalm)
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day... For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
4. Canticle of Simeon (Nunc Dimittis)
“Save us, Lord, while we are awake; protect us while we sleep; that we may keep watch with Christ and rest with Him in peace. At last, all-powerful Master, You give leave to Your servant to go in peace, according to Your promise.”
5. Bedtime Commendation and Guardian Angel
“Into Your hands, Lord, I commend my spirit. Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this night be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
